In 1996, Bill started to sound out members of the Vintage Motor Scooter Club as to the viability of forming a Bella Section within the Club. There appeared to be little enthusiasm, but the two of us decided to go ahead anyway, and produced the first newsletter in 1997.

Membership gradually grew, Scootering magazine was a good source for new members. With the ever increasing use of the Internet, our own website, attracted a steady trickle.
